Barry Paquet, President and CEO
Barry has over 12 years experience managing and directing small software companies. Prior to founding Quantum Whisper, Barry was Director of Product Management at ImageTag Inc., a Microsoft ISV focused on document management and imaging solutions. Notable industry acknowledgments during his tenure include recognition from Microsoft as award finalist for Microsoft ISV Partner of the Year - Innovation (2008) and Microsoft Dynamics ISV Solution of the Year (2006).
In 2003, he co-founded eFinitive Systems (Montreal, Quebec), a software and professional service firm focused on document imaging for Microsoft Dynamics. eFinitive was acquired by ImageTag (Chandler, Arizona) in 2006.
Barry has a BA from Colgate University, a graduate diploma from McGill University, an Executive MBA from University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM) and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
To unwind, Barry likes to coach football, exercise, and go fishing (or anything else outdoors). But those are all second to spending time with his family --- wife Kathryn, daughter Brielle, son Preston and Bernese Mountain dogs, Bandit & Nelly (can't forget the pups).
Xiao Yu, Chief Technologist
Xiao, a graduate in electrical engineering from McGill University, has been managing software projects and creating CRM/ERP solutions for major European clients since the beginning of his university life and has produced, sold and supported his own CRM software. Besides being an expert in enterprise application development, he programmed his first shoot 'em up game on a calculator at 13 and has been passionate about technology to date be it in embedded devices, web applications, robotics, mobile development or networking analysis.
Having trained over 60 people under his command since 16 (Canadian Armed Forces), having fought for thousands of engineers as a student politician and having led every design and research team he worked with to award winning success, the national math champion brings more than technical expertise to Quantum Whisper.
His non geeky side likes to explore the world through photography and travels. He loves to kayak, play piano and has an avid interest in history and foreign relations.
Jivago Pecharki, Lead Developer
Originally from Brazil, we are delighted to have Jivago on our team as he brings a wealth of development experience as well as in-depth knowledge of core Microsoft technologies.
Jivago is a proud graduate FACEAR (Faculdade Educacional de Araucária) where he studied as a system analyst. Today, he boasts over 4 years development experience and has worked with several companies throughout Brazil. His professional career got a boost when at 18, he finished in the top 30 (among over 600 students) in a Microsoft student business competition.
When he is not learning new technologies, he likes to scuba dive. Finally, don’t be surprised if our first supported foreign language is Portuguese!
